PopBit Video to MP3 Converter Free is a free audio ripper for Windows. This application can be used to extract the audio track from a video file and save it as an audio file, which you can later play on any player or mobile device that supports the MP3 format (most do).
Graphically, the application looks like a regular video converter. You add a video to the interface and it is loaded. The video player shows the video, and you can both watch the video and hear its sound track. At the bottom of the screen are the quality settings. There you can set the quality of the MP3 file. There are four presets: Normal quality, Good quality, Best quality, and Low quality. These profiles differ mostly in the audio bitrate. The best quality profile has a higher frequency than the rest.
In my testing, I added an MKV file to test the input file format support. It opened it with no problems whatsoever. Then, I chose the "best quality" profile, to make use of the great sound available in the MKV file that I had chosen. The conversion was smooth, and the resulting file was of great quality.
